SEMINARS

Rusper Aikido Club actively supports and encourages its students to attend seminars and courses run by our association (Aikido for Daily Life) and others.

As Aikido is a non-competitive martial art, it is recommended that you experience a wide variety of teachers as they all have their own unique style and approach to Aikido. Some you may like, others you may not but along the way you will pick up new principles and techniques for your Aikido ‘tool box’. Courses and seminars provide you with an opportunity to practice your Aikido with new people and make lots of friends and connections.

Rusper Aikido Club host at least 2-3 seminars a year whereby a highly-respected and gifted instructor is invited to teach. Please look at our events below:

 

Seminar with Kimberley Richardson Sensei - 27th - 29th September 2019

Anglo-Polish Aikido Friendship Course (Part 3) 9th-10th February 2019

Following two very well received visits, we are very happy to confirm that Przemek Gawronski Sensei (5th Dan Aikikai) from Aikido Tanren Dojo, Warsaw, Poland will be teaching again on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th February 2019.

Course Details: This course is open to all associations and all ages and grades are welcome. Please bring your weapons.
Cost: £40 for both days or £30 per day for adults (concessionary rates for children, pensioners, unemployed etc. are available). Please bring lunch with you. Soft drinks, tea and coffee are provided.

UKA National Course - 20th January 2019

The UKA's first National Course for 2019 will be held at Ren Shin Kan in Dudley hosted by Philip Smith Shihan.

Aiki Extended 2018 - Burwell (nr. Cambridge) 14th-16th September 2018

This event may seem along way away but it gets announced early for good reason!  The seminar runs for 3 days during which time you will be able to benefit from the knowledge of 20+ Aikido teachers from around the world.  Between all the teachers the breadth and depth of Aiki understanding is vast.  It is, without doubt, one of the best courses you could go on so put the date in your diary.  Numbers are limited to 75 so don't delay!

Course Details: This is an open Aikido seminar and everyone is welcome to attend.
Cost: To be advised c£75-£120 for 3 days.  Lodgings and food are provided nearby at an additional (albeit small) cost.
